From a single clinic established in the center of Bangkok fourteen years ago, the St. Carlos Group of Health Services, founded by the couple Dr. Suchai and Dr. Anchulee Yongarnukul, became a whole new dimension to the world of medical science and health care business through the successful fusion of the latest western medical technologies and the ancient Asian herbal treatment. A west-meets-east approach, which soon becomes the solid foundation of what is St. Carlos Group nowadays.

The group aims to permanently carve a niche in the medical and health care world with its latest innovations and technology in combining western medicine with the ancient Asian method of treatment using herbal medicines. Its impressive development can be mainly credited to the effectiveness of the programs and the credible and capable staff.

Initially, the core of the clinics is its weight control program for diabetic patients but further studies and researches conducted by Dr. Anchulee showed that by using a combination of herbal medicines to control weight, other health problems of a patient such as hypertension, diabetes, allergies and asthma have also improved. Studies revealed that such improvements were mainly due to the medicines used for weight control. As a result, a medical spa was established to provide every client with different options on ways to improve their health with the use of different methods of healing such as physical, functional and regulative medicines. Physical medicine involves physiotherapy, massage, hydrotherapy; functional medicine is more on inner cleansing, detoxification, nutritional & herbal support program; while regulative medicine focuses on relaxation programs like outdoor recreation, healing exercises & health counseling. These methods are used and applied after a thorough assessment has been made.

By using a combination of Asian medicines, mostly Thai and Chinese, and traditional Western medicine, St. Carlos was able to develop medicines, which would suit the different needs of every patient.
